Jim's Body Shop is a state-of-the-art facility located 1/2 way between Clare and Farwell. As our customer you will receive the finest quality repairs available. These repairs are made possible by our continued dedication to the collision industry. We are working to keep our shop equipped with the technology needed to fix today's complex vehicles; through on-going training; striving to meet standards of top quality paint and repair; and dedicated to improving the collision repair industry. We only ask one thing, come visit our facility before you make your choice of where to take your vehicle for repairs. We know what your choice will be.

At Jim's Body Shop we believe that education is important. Your car is not here for us to "learn" on. We require our employees to keep up on certifications in their area of expertise. Our body men have completed the "I-Car 8 part Collision Repair Course" and continue to re-certify each year. Our Car-O-Liner frame rack specialists have completed the, "Collision Damage Analysis and Repair Training Program" through the Car-O-Liner Company. Our estimators continue to go to "school" with the insurance companies, this will save you time in the estimating/repair process. The painter and prep team have two state-of-the-art downdraft paint booths, when new products are introduced paint professionals are onsite to work side-by-side with the painter to achieve utmost perfection in the paint department.

All equipment used at Jim's Body Shop is technologically capable of servicing today's complex vehicles while still giving us the capability of working on early models. We have the advantage of being able to work on both foreign and domestic automobiles. Just because you bought your car or truck at a dealership does not mean they are the only ones that can repair it after a collision. In fact, that is our specialty, we only do collision work; we do one thing, and do it right

Q: Do you offer free estimates?

A: Yes we do and no appointments are necessary. Just stop on in and we will be happy to write your estimate while you wait

 

Q: What if I need a loaner car?

A: Jim's Body Shop has a fleet of new model Taurus cars for your use when your vehicle is in our shop for collision repair.

 

Q: What is the charge for a loaner car?

A: All loaners are free of charge for you. We will bill your insurance company for their use if you carry that coverage. If not, there will be no charge to you. All we ask is that you return it with the same amount of gas that you left with and in the same condition. For us, satisfying our customers is the most important goal.

 

Q: If I need a loaner on a weekend or after normal business hours is that possible?

A: Yes, Jim has an emergency number that you will have access to as our customer and if something comes up and you need a loaner, you can call and we will help you out.

 

Q: My car was damaged in the middle of the night. Could I have it towed to your shop then?

A: Of course, our shop is accessible 24 hours a day by the towing companies. Your car will be kept in a gated secure lot, out of sight until we arrive in the morning.

 

Q: Do I have to take my car to the shop my insurance company tells me to?

A: No, where you take your car is your choice, we are here to help you make the right one. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop.

 

Q: Do I need to get more than one estimate?

A: You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate.

 

Q: Why are there differences in more than one estimate?

A: Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you are not sure why one estimate is different from another you have already received, please ask. We will do our best to figure out where a difference may have occurred.

 

Q: Will I need to contact my insurance company or will you?

A: We will help you get your claim settled in a quick, timely manner. We are working for you and with you. You will make the initial contact with your insurance carrier, let them know where your car will be repaired and we can take it from there.

 

Q: What if an adjuster wants to look at my car before it gets repaired?

A: Some insurance companies may want to look at your car before you have it repaired. You may leave your car at our shop and ask that the insurance company inspect the car here.

 

Q: What other services do you offer?

A: We are a full service body shop. All major bodywork will be done in our shop including any framework, painting and all aspects of the collision repair. We may take your car out of the shop for front-end alignments but you will know who has done the work on your car. We work closely with professionals in the areas that we do not cover in house. Rest assured that only certified professionals will be working on your car while it is in our care.
