Volunteer of the Week
We all know someone who has helped make Isabella County a better place because of their willingness to become involved. They help with no desire for public recognition, but we feel they deserve to be recognized for a job well done.

Volunteer of the Week- 11/28/2011
This week’s Volunteer of the Week honor goes to Paula Estill. Paula has a heart for the community. Two years ago she headed a group to save an abandoned school and turned it into a community center to house non-profits. She spends her days serving others by working at the building’s adult and children’s clothing pantries, renovating the building and serving as a contact in the community, connecting people with services and resources. Paula retired early so that she could serve others. When she was growing up, her mother would tell her not to feel sorry for herself and to get out and go do something for someone else. Those are words she has always lived by. Paula feels that volunteering helps bring some self-esteem to the people she help and because it also feels good to help others. Paula Estill, we thank you for your dedication to our community. Congratulations on being Volunteer of the Week!
